Muros

Muros is a Spanish municipality belonging to the province of A Coruña and the region of Muros, in the autonomous community of Galicia. It is located at the northern end of the Ría de Muros and Noia, the northernmost of the Rías Baixas.
Among monuments and highlights of the town we can find:

• The old town: founded in the tenth century, maintains the traditional homes of sailors and noble architecture, such as the Peixería Vella Square.
• The Parish Church of Muros, in Gothic style. This temple constitutes the most important religious building of the town and previously it was known as the Collegiate Church of Santa María del Campo.
• The mill of Maré from the well of Cachón, an old and huge mill built in the first third of the ninth century and that took advantage of the energy of the tides. It is one of the largest in Spain.
